General Federation of   Women's Clubs GFWC

GFWC encompasses 52 state Federations (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico) and international affiliates in more than 20 countries. GFWC members, benefit from belonging to a network of socially conscious, active women with roots in local communities and branches around the world. Local clubs focus on meeting specific needs in their communities through volunteer service projects. GFWC program materials, publications, meetings, seminars and conventions assist our members in designing and implementing effective programs and projects. Opportunities are available for local, state and national recognition through program awards. Federation is the mechanism through which information, ideas, insights and inspiration are promoted and shared. Individual members join a local club, which in turn belongs to a GFWC state federation. Club programs and club dues structure are determined at the local level; with a portion going to both the GFWCVA and GFWC.
